Holy Trinity’s general budget runs from 7/1/2020 to 6/30/2021. A budgeted income and expense are submitted to the dioceses around June 1 of each year. As of 9 months into our fiscal year, our income is 115% of budget. Expenses are at 100% of the projection. Thankfully, the church has a balanced budget! Although this is great news, we are relying on a grant from the Diocese which is 18% of the budgeted income. This grant is not guaranteed each year and the amount of the grant may vary this year, especially since so many churches and schools are applying this year after the pandemic.
The Diocesan Annual Appeal Campaign concluded on May 1, 2021. Holy Trinity’s goal was set at $17,800. From the generosity of our parishioners, we received a total of $18,558. That is 104% of our goal! Thank You Gather and Grow Capital Campaign Building Loan Financial Update: The beginning balance of the loan was $371,946. This started on March 1, 2020 with monthly payments of $6,916 for a 60-month period. We have been very aggressive to pay down the debt and are ahead of schedule. Again, with the generosity of parishioners completing their pledges and additional annual gifts and transfers from Savings within this past year, our balance on the loan as of May 1, 2021 is at $69,474!
My name is Rick Whitcomb. I am 1 of 5 volunteer members of Holy Trinity’s Finance Council. Each quarter one of the Finance Council’s members will report on the progress and future of the capital needs of our church.
Now that we can have events again, hopefully by summer’s end! — VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED on a Fundraising Committee for “In Person” and “Virtual” talents. We have several fund-raising events and church activities such as Festivals, Car Shows, Amazon Points, Social Picnics, Dinners, Breakfast Burrito Sundays, Tamales for Youth Fundraising…and many, many more! New ideas for events are also needed! Let’s get back to our community events and meet all the new people that have joined the parish. If this sounds like a way for you to get involved in your church community, please call the parish office to leave your name and contact information
